Every 12 – 18 months mobile phone operators make it possible for their customers to upgrade their handsets to the latest models. In the United Kingdom alone this is leading to as many as 80 – 100 million unused phones collecting dust in people’s drawers and cupboards.
Specialist mobile recycling companies are now offering to pay consumer and businesses either cash or vouchers for returning their old phones. Some also give you the option to give either a percentage or all of the value of your mobile phone to charity. By simply entering the model of the phone you want to sell its easy to find out the price they are willing to pay. If you are happy with the price they offer, fill in some basic details and these companies will even send you a freepost padded envelope for you to return your old mobile in.
In order to return your old phone it must be in full working order and any damage must only be through normal wear and tear. You’re not required to return the charger or box but the phone must have its original battery. Some of these mobile recycling companies will even take your old phone off you if it’s faulty, although you will receive a reduced payment if it’s in a bad condition.
